Countdown 2019 CSM: 37 weeks

So, having deferred my California International Marathon last year, here I sit, at the end of March, determined NOT to let this next year pass me by.  December 8th, 2019 - I hope that I will be at the starting line.

Here is the time to beat:



My goal for this week was to run every day, at least a mile, and to get my 4 mile run in.  The universe challenged me with the 4 mile run, as it was the first day of Spring Break, I had 5 kids at my house, and my husband couldn't get home early.  While I was on ONE business phone call, this is what the girls got up to:



Only part of the bathroom was covered in faceprint.  So, with no help at hand, I decided to take those 2 rascals, have them get on their bikes, take the dog, and we were all going to go with me for my 4 mile run.  The last mile I ran at Berkley Park so the dog and the kids could run as they pleased.  It all worked out in the end. 



Getting it done, people! Notice the little park where here is a big red blob: that is where I ran back and forth.  What you don't see on that nice little map is along the big green section where my daughter fell off her bike, or up the hill, where we had to walk due to heavy and slow bikes, or the dog almost tripping me over.  All you see above is a completed, 4 mile run, but like always, it was so much more!

So, I've done my excel spread sheet, and I have 37 weeks until race day.  That gives me so much time to prepare, build a base, incorporate speed, and nail it.  Goal: sub 4:00, but at least beat that 4:14.  I'm also comparing my training from 2017, as that was an excellent start for training.
